Sodium alginate used as warp sizing, finishing and printing paste for a long history and as an ideal paste in printing application , Sodium alginate is greatly used in the printing for cotton, wool, silk and synthetic fiber fabrics .especially after the invention of reactive dye. So far ,it has been used for decades of years and there is no other paste can be comparable.
1.does not react with reactive dyes and produces no covalent bonding.
2.there are strong electronegative carboxyl groups on the base ring.
3.not only does not adsorb ,but also reject the dye that can transfer the dye from the paste to the fiber easily which is good for the clarity and uniformity during the printing process.
4. The printed pattern is clear, bright and has high color yield and good fastness .bring good handfeeling for fabrics .
Sodium alginate which with medium and low viscosity are all suitable for screen printing and hand printing. With the property of pseudoplastic rheology which is shear thinning and can return to original viscosity after stopping shearing, Sodium alginate is suitable for the printing of decorative pattern, large area, wet-on-wet, and can make the printed pattern has delicate and clear outlines and also good uniformity in large area printing.
